Beauty That is Brave
Beauty that is brave was inspired by a manifesto I wrote for my creative practice last year. My intention is to be guided to create beauty that is brave and rooted in freedom from where true worth and peace springs. For this piece I was inspired by the indomitable strength of being a women, and how boldly and bravely they hold space for each other.
Beauty that is brave symbolizes the triumph of sisterhood, and celebrates the indomitable strength of being a woman. The female figures in the artwork are mirror reflections of each other, emphasizing that self discovery is possible when we choose to see one another in honest light. Freedom, as represented in the birds soaring above the forest, is then a ripple effect of that self acknowledgement.
