Rashmi Tyagi is a multidisciplinary creative artist specializing in visual identities, graphic design, and illustration.
A maker, a thinker, and a healer. India-born, Vancouver-based independent graphic designer and illustrator, works with her clients to develop thoughtful, in-depth, artistic responses to a wide range of creative briefs. The artist is informed by the astounding beauty of nature and the cultural relevance of her South-Asian heritage, both of which are pivotal to her practice. Driven by a love of color, she strives for a sense of tactility, playfulness, and a healing atmosphere in her work. Her whimsical and colorful illustrative style is inspired by everyday ordinary moments. She combines themes of nostalgia with texture, colors, and patterns within her work to depict spectacular scenes, most often celebrating women.
Originally from the beautiful northern valley of Dehradun, India, Rashmi is a trained architect who speaks through illustration and design. Since 2023 she has been slowly building her corner as Rashmi Tyagi Studio, where she art directs and executes visual projects. She founded her eponymous creative studio as a vehicle to create impactful brand experiences while merging style with substance through her unique perspective and design sensibilities. Through her creative work, Rashmi aspires to nurture emotions of comfort, safety, and a sense of belonging as we walk each other home.
Rashmi works from her cabin studio in Vancouver, BC. When she’s not deep in a drawing, you can find her nestled in with a good book, binging on K-Dramas, laughing and sipping chai with her partner, if not found on a rather long walk.
